Community Partnership for the Homeless was incorporated in 1990 as a nonprofit, 501 (c)(3) tax exempt corporation to serve homeless veterans and families with children.
The agency recently formed a subsidiary, Cottage Community Inc., that will provide 30-units of affordable housing to low income working families with school age children. Partners will provide supportive services including case management, onsite child care and after-school programs to help families transition to independent living.
Community Partnership for the Homeless became the first organization in Travis County to offer transitional shelter for homeless veterans. Since 1990 the agency has assisted over 600 homeless veterans get back on their feet.
