Tom Stacy

For almost two decades, Tom Stacy has been instrumental in acquiring, managing and enhancing the value of Austin's landmark properties. His keen sense for reading the market has enabled Mr. Stacy to successfully purchase, reposition and sell numerous assets. With a long-term track record of success, Mr. Stacy has achieved the role of a major player in the Central Texas real estate market place.

Deeply connected with Austin-area real estate since 1977, Mr. Stacy has been a vocal supporter of economic development in the Central Business District. In 1997 and 2009, Mr. Stacy served as the chairman of the Downtown Austin Alliance (DAA), a group of local landowners, tenants and developers seeking to beautify the downtown area, reduce traffic congestion, find solutions to vagrancy issues and forge key alliances with legislators. The DAA honored Mr. Stacy in 1999 with the prestigious "Individual IMPACT" Award for his contributions to downtown Austin, particularly his inspirational renovation of the historic Scarbrough Building and Littlefield Complex. In 2001, the firm received the DAA’s "Project IMPACT" Award for the restoration of the historic Stephen F. Austin Inter-Continental Hotel. In 2008 Mr. Stacy was honored with the 2nd annual Concordia University Excellence in Leadership Award which honors a Christian leader.

In addition to his accolades and endeavors, Mr. Stacy is past chairman for the Texas Association of Realtors Political Action Committee. From 2003-2008, he has served as president of the Community Partnership for the Homeless (renamed Green Doors), a non-profit organization which provides housing for the homeless and underprivileged. He has also been a member of the Governor’s Business Council since 2006. He is a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker, is a member of the Central Texas Commercial Association of Real Estate Professionals (CTCAR) and is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI). Originally from Levelland, Texas, Mr. Stacy earned a business degree from Texas Tech University in 1975.

Kevin Black

Mr. Black oversees all companywide acquisition activity, including underwriting, financial modeling, financing, deal capital structure, deal sourcing, contract negotiations and acquisition due diligence of each deal. Black also directs all company disposition activity and has a strong asset management role related to the company’s existing portfolio.

Prior to joining T. Stacy & Associates, Mr. Black worked in acquisitions and closing with Archon Group, an international full-service real estate investment management and support services company and a fully-owned subsidiary of Goldman Sachs & Company. During his tenure at Archon, he specialized in office, multi-family and telecom properties primarily in the Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and Salt Lake City markets. Prior to that Mr. Black was with Emerson Partners, a commercial real estate investment company in Dallas, TX, which specialized in office, land, flex and industrial properties. To date Mr. Black has closed acquisitions and loans totaling over $1.5 billion nationwide.

Mr. Black has a degree in Finance from the University of Texas at Arlington and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) Designee both on the national level and in the Austin and San Antonio chapters. He is also a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker, is a member of the Central Texas Commercial Association of Real Estate Professionals (CTCAR) and is a member of the Urban Land Institute (ULI).

Paul Workman

Paul Workman serves as Director of Construction for T. Stacy & Associates. At T. Stacy, he is responsible for the construction and construction management of all projects undertaken by the company.

For over 30 years Paul has been engaged in the construction of commercial buildings. His projects over the years have included retail centers, office buildings, schools, banks, park projects and hospitals.

Mr. Workman recently stepped down as the CEO of Workman Commercial Construction Services and transferred ownership of the company he and his father founded in 1970 to his son and daughter who are continuing the tradition of Workman family contracting.

Mr. Workman earned a BS in Building Construction from Texas A&M University in 1973 and served ten years in the US Army Reserves as an Engineer Officer. Mr. Workman has been President of the Rotary Club of Austin, the Austin Chapter of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) and CompGroup AGC (a workers compensation purchasing group). He served on the Board of Directors of the Real Estate Council of Austin for eight years. He is the President-Elect of the Texas Building Branch AGC and a National Director of the Associated General Contractors of America. While president of Austin AGC, Mr. Workman originated the Community Mentor-Protégé Initiative used by the City of Austin and Austin Independent School District. He is currently on the board of Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse.

Jack Beverly

Jack Beverly serves as Director of Engineering for T. Stacy & Associates. His responsibilities include oversight of all engineering operations, energy saving measures and the implementation of new engineering projects.

Mr. Beverly has over 38 years of experience in Industrial, Commercial and Residential heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, and construction management. Prior to joining T. Stacy, Mr. Beverly served as Regional Engineering Director for CarrAmerica Realty from 1997 to 2006. In this role he managed the engineering operations for 2.5 million square feet in Austin, Texas and 3 million square feet in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Beverly also served as an assistant project manager for 2.8 million square feet of new office building construction in Austin and Dallas. Prior to that, Mr. Beverly worked for Carr Reality in Washington DC for 10 years as Supervising Chief Engineer for 1 million square feet of commercial office buildings. He also served as an HVAC and electrical instructor for NAPE (National Association of Power Engineers) in Washington DC.

Mr. Beverly holds Master Licenses in heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, and electrical and is a member of BOMA (Building Owners & Managers Association).

Robert Paine

Mr. Paine is responsible for the leasing and marketing of all properties in the portfolio of T. Stacy and Associates and its strategic partners, which currently consists of more than 900,000sf.

Mr. Paine has over 5 years of commercial leasing experience in Texas and has worked with such notable clients as Manpower, Nokia, BDO Seidman, Koch Industries and Scottrade. Prior to joining T. Stacy & Associates, Mr. Paine worked as an office leasing representative for Henry S. Miller in Austin, Texas.

Mr. Paine has a History degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He is currently working towards his Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation and is a member of the Commercial Leasing Brokers Association and the Central Texas Association of Realtors.
